KANCHANABURI
Kanchanaburi is situated about 3 hours drive from Bangkok. It is a medium size town and known of the historical events during World War II which was taken place here including the famous Bridge of River Kwai & the Death Railway. It could be accessed via both busses& vans from Bangkok at Sai Tai Mai bus terminal and train from small train station in Bangkok.

Kanchanaburi is a lovely town, located along River of Kwai surrounded by hills and forest mountains, villages with majority rice & corn fields. Other beautiful natural national parks are about 2 hours traveling by road, including beautiful waterfalls like Erawan, Sai Yok Nom, Sai Yok Yai and other natural waterfalls with little bit of forest trekking.

MEANAMKWAI ROAD in Kanchanaburi is as old 3 km stretch road along beautiful river of Kwai. Its a cozy old town caters facilities visitors either you being a global backpackers or holiday makers/tourist. This old town Meanamkwai Road consist of little bars, various types of accommodations from nipah roof bungalows, guesthouses, village resorts to high end hotels; pharmacies, 24 hours kiosk, bicycle/motorcycle/car rental shops, ATMs, local little cafes with wifi & restaurants, mini markets, small tailor shop, tattoo artist and massage& spa therapist outlets.

This is where the famous Bridge of River Kwai located and you could just walk or cycle along Meanamkwai Road. Theres a little street market located within and the bigger ones called J J market nearby.
